We take our responsibilities seriously. Smilemakers wants to protect everyone in our community. As well as seeing to your comfort during treatment we take care of your safety as well. We carry out safety audits constantly to keep us at the top of our game .
• Covid screening by phone 24 hours before your appointment
• Covid screening on arrival. QR codes or optional contact lists so we know who is on our premises
• Managed appointments to minimise too many people in the waiting room
• Masks are available for patients who don’t have them
• Rooms are cleaned and reset for every patient including changes of gloves and masks.
• Aseptic technique used for all procedures
• High velocity suction to minimise aerosols
• Safety barriers in reception areas
• Dental dams used to reduce aerosols from the mouth
• Disinfection of every surface at the end of the appointment
Instruments in our practice are reprocessed in a special sterilisation room. We can follow the instruments from their successful sterilisation to their use in treatment.

• Limiting of accompanying persons to essential people only.( one parent only)

· Use of PPE protective equipment when performing treatment which has an aerosol component
· Use of Dental Dam for restorative procedures
· Doing more treatment in one appointment to minimise the number of visits that patients need to attend our offices
Come alone or with only one other person
Minimise your time in the building by either waiting in your car or outside
Attend a little earlier than your appointment so we can screen you safely
Advise staff of any change in your health status
